In this major, students are introduced to the diverse cultures of nations such as Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Russia, Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia and Ukraine. They study the history of the Slavic World and develop their skills in Russian, an official international language used for diplomacy and trade in the region.
