The newly re-launched American Sign Language (ASL) program at Vanier Language School is offered in proud partnership with Eversa, a Montreal-based organization that works to remove barriers preventing Deaf and hard of hearing people from evolving in an equitable society. Eversa specialises in training, consultation and translation services.

This course will teach both ASL and Deaf culture to help you better understand the rich communication dynamics of the Deaf and hard of hearing community. As a result, you will discover a flourishing culture and gain in confidence when interacting with Deaf individuals in the real world.  

This course is offered in person at the Vanier College campus.  

Our additional levels (offered occasionally) are meant to be a continuation for students who have taken the previous levels, or who already have a base in the language.

Cost

$350 tuition + a $60 materials fee to access the digital Eversa ASL curriculum.

Important to note: The College reserves the right to cancel any cohort, program, course, or service prior to the scheduled start date. In such instances, all refundable fees will be reimbursed in full.
