Vanier College Model United Nations (VCMUN) is off to a remarkable start! Following an extraordinary 2025–2026 season, a 24-member Vanier delegation attended Champlain College Model United Nations (CCMUN 2026), held October 9–11, 2026, returning with five individual awards and the coveted Best Large Delegation Award!
Congratulations to our award-winning students:
- Waten Alzaim – Best Delegate, Advanced Crisis (Divine Side)
- Mohamad B. Chehab – Best Delegate, Advanced Crisis (Mortal Side)
- Audrina Fanelus – Honourable Mention, General Assembly (SDG 6: Access to Clean Water)
- Emily Macisaac – Honourable Mention, Advanced Crisis (Divine Side)
- Jayden Mioko Tshishiku – Honourable Mention, Crisis (The 75th Hunger Games)
The Best Large Delegation Award is particularly meaningful, reflecting the preparation, dedication, teamwork, and collective excellence of all 24 participating students.
Under the leadership of its new student executive, headed by Secretary-General Luca Di Fiore and President Sophia Bazail Fernandez, VCMUN continues to provide outstanding opportunities for experiential learning, helping students develop diplomacy, negotiation, public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership skills beyond the classroom.
Congratulations to the entire delegation and executive team on this exceptional achievement!
Next stop: London! In November, a 16-member VCMUN delegation will represent Vanier at HultMUN 2026 in the United Kingdom. 🇬🇧
