Vanier’s Minna Re Shin, will launch her new album and performance video, “Sonate des Saisons”

May 7, 2026

Vanier teacher, pianist and multidisciplinary artist, Minna Re Shin, will officially launch her new album and performance video, Sonate des Saisons, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 8 p.m. at Montreal’s Joseph Rouleau Hall. The new project takes two complementary forms: a digital music album co-produced with ombu productions and a cinematic performance video.

Building on the success of her first multidisciplinary project, multi award-winning Sonate Tableaux, Minna Re Shin conceived Sonate des Saisons as a bold fusion of Eastern and Western artistic traditions. Through the intimate interplay of solo piano, choreographed movement, expressive logograms and cinematic design, Sonate des Saisons becomes a multidimensional narrative and immersive concert experience that extends beyond the conventional recital format.

The June 10 launch event will feature a live solo piano performance by Minna Re Shin, followed by a screening of the performance video. An informal reception with light refreshments will conclude the evening, offering audiences an opportunity to celebrate this milestone alongside the artist and collaborators.

Minna Shin’s exceptional multidisciplinary team of collaborators that elevates the project beyond a traditional concert experience, includes director Carlos Ferrand, choreographer Shawn Hounsell, dancers Alexander Ellison, Clara Koçollari, and Arnaud Mongeon, Chinese calligrapher Ngan Siu-Mui and animation in motion designer Loïc Bruderlein.

Congratulations to Minna Re Shin.
