Awards

The Vanier College Model United Nations Club (VCMUN) was voted "Club of the Year" by the Vanier College Students' Association (VCSA) at its May 28 Gala of Merit. The club received the award just one day before participating in HarvardMUN Canada's Tournament of Champions in Toronto, the pinnacle, invite-only event of the Canadian Model UN circuit. Together, the award and conference marked the club's final achievements in a record-setting year.
In 2025-26 alone, VCMUN delegates participated in 9 conferences, earned 13 awards, attended the Harvard WorldMUN conference in Peru and hosted the largest Model UN conference in the CEGEP circuit.
The VCMUN 2026 conference also became a HarvardMUN Canada Tournament of Champions qualifier event, being one of only 2 in Quebec to hold this distinction. With approximately 193 delegates and 50 staffers, VCMUN 2026 became the largest in the CEGEP circuit and raised $990.00 for Heads & Hands Montréal, a non-profit youth organization.
Just when it seemed that club's exceptional season was coming to a close, Vanier's delegates were invited to participate in HarvardMUN Canada's Tournament of Champions, bringing them into a higher competitive tier. From May 29 to 31, a group of 8 Vanier students travelled to Toronto to compete alongside top-performing delegations from across the country. VCMUN delegate Luca Di Fiore, who will serve as the organization's next secretary general in 2026–2027, earned an Honorable Mention award for his performance at the conference.
Congratulations to all VCMUN members on a landmark year and best of luck for 2026-27!
