November 7, 2018

Vanier College is pleased to announce that 17 students received $500 CPMT scholarships to support studies in technical programs leading to jobs that deemed a priority by the Commission de partenaires du marché du travail (CPMT). This represents the first installment on $1700 scholarships. The balance will paid when the students graduate from their programs.

The purpose of the CPMT (Commission des partenaires du marché du travail) scholarships, also known as Fonds de développement et de reconnaissance des compétences de la main-d’oeuvre, is to increase the enrolment in technical programs leading to careers where an important need of skilled professionals has been identified and to encourage perseverance and academic success in these programs.

The selected students must have begun their studies in one of the targeted programs between July 2017 and June 2018, and have successfully completed all their courses. The scholarship students receive a first installment of $500. To obtain the $1200 scholarship balance, the students must successfully complete their program within 4 years.
