Vanier College and the Vanier College Foundation award more than $16000 in 2025 Entrance Scholarships
Vanier College is very pleased to announce that, at a ceremony held on November 27th, 2025, more than $16,000 in Entrance Scholarships provided jointly by the Vanier College Foundation and the Office of the Academic Dean were awarded to the top new students beginning their studies at Vanier College in the fall 2025 semester. The scholarships are awarded annually to high school students in recognition of outstanding academic entrance qualifications. This year, a total of 108 students received scholarships.
Congratulations to this year’s three top recipients: Anaelle Ziri in Health Science, who received a scholarship for the highest overall average; Shirya Nakache in Health Science, who received a scholarship for the second highest overall average; and Jacob Huang in Computer Science and Mathematics, who received a scholarship for the third highest overall average coming into Vanier.
Another one hundred and five students also received scholarships. They were the three students from each program who had the highest averages (85% or higher).
In speaking to this year’s recipients Vanier Academic Dean, Sandrina Joseph, said “Tonight’s award recipients have already shown that they’re willing to take on challenges, to stretch their abilities, and to trust themselves even when the path isn’t fully drawn. That willingness, that courage, is what transforms a blank page into something meaningful. As you move forward, you’ll make choices that will shape the story you're writing. You’re not just turning a page, you’re writing the next part of your journey with intention, creativity, and confidence. This scholarship is a recognition of where you’ve been, but even more, it’s an invitation to step boldly into what comes next.”
Following the ceremony, students attended a reception with family and friends. Congratulations to all these deserving students.
