Awards

Last spring, all graduating nursing students participated in the fourth annual Vanier Nursing Olympics, a one-day competition designed to showcase the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program.
Students formed teams and competed in five simulated patient scenarios, each highlighting key competencies such as teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and clinical proficiency.
Students found the Olympics a fun way to review the topics they had learned throughout the program. While they may feel stressed in the beginning, once it’s started, they focus on each individual simulation and enjoy the event.
The top five teams were awarded gift cards, and additional prizes were presented to students who achieved the highest marks in individual simulations. These awards were made possible through the generous support of the Vanier Foundation.
Thank you to all participants for their enthusiasm and dedication, and congratulations to Rita Salahian and Diana Pineda on their gold medal (first-place) achievement.
