Sandrina Joseph named Vanier Academic Dean

John McMahon, Director General of Vanier College, is pleased to announce that Sandrina Joseph has been named as the college’s new Academic Dean. This decision was approved by Vanier College’s Board of Directors following recommendations from the Board Selection Committee and by Vanier College’s Academic Council.

Sandrina has worked in post-secondary education for more than 20 years, having held both faculty and administrative positions. She is currently a Faculty Dean at Collège Lionel-Groulx where she manages and oversees the development of numerous programs including Nursing, Animal Health, Early Childhood Education and Agriculture and Horticulture. In this role, Sandrina has also been instrumental in developing, implementing and building engagement around the college’s Student Success Plan. Prior to this, Sandrina served as Coordinator and Teacher in the French Department at Collège Lionel-Groulx, and has taught at the University of Toronto and Université de Montréal.

Sandrina holds a Ph.D in French Literature from the University of Toronto, two post-doctoral fellows, a graduate diploma in Higher Education Pedagogy, a Masters and Bachelor’s degree from Université du Québec à Montreal, and is currently completing a graduate program in organizational development and leadership. She has published over 30 scholarly articles and has won numerous awards for her research. Sandrina is fluently bilingual in English and in French.

Sandrina Joseph will begin her new role at Vanier on August 1st, 2023.
