Renée Rochard appointed Coordinator - Continuing Education

Vanier College is pleased to announce the appointment of Renée Rochard to the position of Coordinator - Continuing Education, effective September 28, 2026. Reporting to the Director of Continuing Education and Community Services, Renée will be responsible for all aspects of credit courses (ACS, DCS and RAC) in Continuing Education.

As Coordinator of Continuing Education, Renée will manage the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs, services and activities under her responsibility as well as ensure their day-to-day operations; oversee budgeting, planning, and meeting the financial results and expectations of the credit programs, and coordinate recruitment and promotional activities for Continuing Education. Renée will also ensure the development and updating of processes, procedures, tools, guides and forms for optimal operation.

Renée brings more than 20 years of experience in adult and post-secondary education, including eight years in pedagogical counselling and coordination roles within the Quebec CEGEP system. She began her career teaching English as a second language to adult learners in Canada and Europe. Her understanding of adult learners’ needs, combined with her experience leading teams and managing academic operations, will support the department as it strengthens and develops its program offerings.

Renée’s background encompasses program management and development, academic advising, student services, quality assurance, and process improvement. She is committed to building strong relationships and developing accessible, high-quality programs that respond to the evolving needs of learners, the College and the community.

Renée holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from York University, a postgraduate certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Toronto, and a diploma in French Language and Civilisation Studies from the University of Strasbourg. She is currently pursuing a post-graduate certificate in Educational Technology at Université TÉLUQ.
