Philippe Joly and Everest Zhu receive 2022 Sport-Études bursaries

Vanier College is proud to announce that two student athletes have received bursaries from the Sport-Études Foundation. Philippe Joly and Everest Zhu were both awarded for Academic Excellence.  This year, 94 student athletes across the province received bursaries from the Sport-Études Foundation at a special event held on June 2, 2022.

Three types of bursaries were awarded: Academic Excellence bursaries to reward outstanding scholastic achievement, Academic and Athletic Support bursaries to promote the successful balance of athletic and academic pursuits, and Perseverance bursaries to commend exemplary attitude in the face of difficult circumstances.

The Sport-Études Foundation was able to grant the bursaries thanks to the generosity of its partners: Fondation Desjardins, RDS, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Auclair, Cégep à distance, Oberson, Téluq and SRAM.

Football player, Philippe Joly, is in Pure and Applied Science, Honours, at Vanier. He was awarded $2000 for academic excellence.

Figure skater, Everest Zhu, is in Health Science. He was also awarded $2000 for academic excellence.
