Dr. Effrosyni Diamantoudi appointed to Board of Governors

Vanier College is pleased to welcome Dr. Effrosyni Diamantoudi to its Board of Governors as a University-level teaching institution member, serving a three-year term.

With a Ph.D. in economics from McGill University (2000), Dr. Diamantoudi began her academic career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Aarhus before joining Concordia University in 2003, where she became a Full Professor in 2015. Since 2016, she has held leadership roles in the School of Graduate Studies, including Dean and more recently interim vice-president of research, innovation, and impact. In May 2026, she began a five year term as provost and vice-president, academic. Committed to student success, she has mentored thirty-nine graduate students and continues to develop initiatives that enhance recruitment, retention, and support for graduate studies.

The Board of Governors is the governing body of the College. Members come from various groups within the internal and external community, and all nineteen members carry out their duties with independence in the best interests of the College for the realization of its mission.

The College would like to take the opportunity to thank Dr. Effrosyni Diamantoudi as a new member of the Board of Governors. We look forward to benefiting from her expertise, insight, and contributions as the Board continues to advance the College’s mission and priorities.
