Cheetahs win their 9th Bol d’Or

Vanier College is thrilled to announce that the Men’s Division 1 football team defeated CEGEP Limoilou 37-25 in the Bol d’Or Championship Game on November 20, 2021 in front of 1,304 spectators, thus winning their 9th cup since 1978.

Third-year Quarterback, Éloa Latendresse Regimbald led the offense by completing 16 of his 22 passes for a total of 223 yards, throwing three touchdown passes. Latendresse Regimbald, who was named Player of the Game, also ran the ball 16 times for a total of 77 yards scoring a touchdown. Fourth-year receiver, Nicholas Cenacle-Altidor, caught six passes for 120 yards including two touchdowns, including one catch of 77 yards.

Coming back from halftime, the Cheetahs continued to dominate Limoilou, pouring in another 21 points. However, the number one team in the North-East Division, the Limoilou Titans, did not keep their heads down and attempted a comeback in the 4th quarter scoring 22 points.

On the defensive side for Vanier, K-Shawnbradley Charles-Dumond controlled the game, slowing down the Titans offense. Charles-Dumond accumulated 7.5 tackles (one tackle being a quarterback sack), 2.5 tackles for a loss, one forced fumble and one deflected pass.
