A record turn-out for Vanier Information Evening 2026

People were greeted by photos and banners touting Vanier’s new slogan “Uniquely différent” – a promise that the college is a place where all are welcome, where students thrive and where difference is celebrated.

"It was a great information evening experience. It helped me finally figure out what program should I take in order to pursue the kind of career I want in the future. People were really helpful. I had great and useful Q&A interactions with Social Science faculty members,” said one prospective student. "I was stunned to find out the program I wanted was a perfect fit for me,” said another.

With the CEGEP application deadline fast approaching on March 1, Information Evening was the perfect time for high school students and their parents and friends to obtain last-minute information on all the programs, services and activities offered at Vanier, and firm up their decision about which program to choose. As a result, the Student Mall and the Cafeteria Annex where program tables were set up, were full of people talking with teachers and seeking to learn more about what interested them.

Elsewhere, representatives from Admissions and Academic Advising made presentations and answered more complex questions to help prospective students understand the prerequisites needed for the programs they were eyeing.

“The evening was a great success thanks to all the personnel who participated. The friendliness and enthusiasm of our faculty and staff are a major reason why students choose to study at Vanier. From service, to security, from teachers to technicians and professional, our community is always there for our prospective students during such events as Information Evening and for our current students when the start their journey with us,” said Isabelle Moncion, Vanier Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs.
