It was with deep regret that Vanier’s Director General, Normand W. Bernier informed the college of the passing of Mr. Réal Thibault, Chairman of Vanier College’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Thibault, who was a proud graduate of Vanier, was also a member of the college’s Executive Committee. Mr. Thibault passed away at home on Sunday March 2nd. Réal had been serving on the Board since April 2008. He became Chairperson in June 2010.

Funeral service arrangements for Réal are still being finalized. On behalf of the Vanier Community, M. Bernier extended his deepest sympathies to his family, colleagues and friends.

The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie, 3955 chemin Cote de Liesse, St-Laurent , on Saturday, March 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. followed by a mass at 3:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of the Funeral Complex.
