Philip Azimov

It was with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Philip Azimov, a longtime faculty member at Vanier College.

Philip began teaching in 1983 in the Physics Department and later went on to teach in the Computer Science Department until his illness forced him to go on sick leave. He passed away peacefully at his home on March 24, 2011.

He is survived by his wife Maureen, his three children and their families. The funeral service was held on Friday, March 25 at 2:30 p.m. at Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, Montreal.

AZIMOV, Philip Peacefully at home on Thursday, March 24, 2011, surrounded by his beloved wife, Maureen Stupp and their devoted children: Richard, Jennifer (Jesse) and Brian. Devoted son of John and Fay Azimov, and son-in-law of Shirley and the late Isadore Stupp. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sheldon and Jasna, Barry and Betty, Daniel and Orly, George and Joyce, and brother-in-law of Howard, Andrew and Josephine, Devorah and Yehouda Leib, Elizabeth and Michael. Philip will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons on Friday, March 25.
