Vanier College was saddened to hear of the passing of Mark Dranov, a retired teacher and coordinator in the Commerce Department. He passed away peacefully on January 23, 2011. Mark Dranov began teaching at Vanier in 1977 and retired in 2004. He was a serious and conscientious teacher who brought a wealth of real-world business experience to the classroom. He was also well-respected by his colleagues for being a tireless advocate for departmental policies and funding.

DRANOV, Mark. Peacefully, on Sunday, January 23, 2011. Beloved husband of Ruth. Loving father and father-in-law of Dusty and Richard Jones, Robbie and Carole Dranov, Cheryl Dranov, Mahra and Michael Hart. Cherished Zaidie of Timothy, Willem, Jonah, Maggie, Mia, Sabrina and Cassie. Mark will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. Graveside service on Tuesday, January 25 at 1:00 p.m., at the Beth Israel Memorial Park Section, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Duvernay. Shiva private.
