It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Dr. Fred Saul Schwartz, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Beloved husband of Carylle Doherty. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Joelle and David Weber, Jennifer Faucher and Jozef Daenens. Cherished “Tata” of Gabriela and Ainhoa. Caring brother and brother-in-law of Dr. Mel Schwartz and Dr. Shirley Blaichman, Dr. Leonard and Francine Schwartz, Bryna and Ilan Rumstein. Fred died following a long and courageous fight against numerous odds. He was a dedicated teacher and academic till the end. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of the Jewish General Hospital I.C.U. for their care and support in making him comfortable and for respecting his dignity.
