It is with regret that I announce the passing of Ed Over on September 14th, 2013. Ed was a pioneer of Vanier College, one of the first group of personnel hired in 1969 – 70. He taught mathematics for most of his time at Vanier, but did serve a period as Faculty Dean (then Sector Head) for Science. After his retirement in 2004, Ed studied composing at Concordia University. He proudly attended the 40 year Gala, wearing pins and insignia from the first days of the College when a Tribute Scholarship was inaugurated in his name.

Family will receive condolences on Friday, September 20th 2013 at 9 am at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Quebec H2V 2P9 (514) 279-6540 www.mountroyalcem.com. Funeral service to follow at 11 am.

Our sympathies go out to his family: his wife Lila, former English teacher and Sector Head at the College, and his children and grandchildren, several of whom have connections with Vanier as alumni and former employees. In lieu of flowers, donations to an Alzheimer Society close to you would be greatly appreciated by the family.
