Vanier College is proud to announce that Architectural Technology teacher and department coordinator, Michael Lancione, has received a Certificate of Recognition from Marwah Rizqy, Member of the National Assembly for Saint Laurent and the Official Opposition Critic for Education and Higher Education.
The certificate that was presented on March 22, 2023, at the National Assembly in Quebec City, recognized Michael Lancione’s commitment to the Architectural Technology Department and to Vanier College as a whole. The certificate states, “You are truly to be congratulated for devoting so much effort to the success and well-being of your students. You are helping to produce outstanding role models and citizens.”
Indeed, Michael Lancione who was a recipient of the 2021-2022 Teaching Excellence Award has already demonstrated his passionate commitment to his program, his students, his teaching and Vanier.
Michael has been praised as a natural teacher who makes learning easy for students, as a leader who has worked on multiple projects to support student success, and as a person whose empathy and understanding underscore his creativity and commitment to helping his students succeed.
Michael’s holistic approach to teaching Architectural Technology aims at forming graduates who not only master architectural design techniques but also inform their work with ethics and incorporate into their designs principles of sustainable architecture that take account of the environment and the broader needs of society.
Congratulations to Michael Lancione for his achievements, his passion and his commitment that inspire both his students and colleagues alike.
