Elana Cooperberg Appointed New Vanier Dean of Academic Development and Research

Vanier College Director General, John McMahon, is pleased to announce the appointment of Elana Cooperberg as Dean of Academic Development and Research.

Elana Cooperberg has more than 13 years of experience at Vanier as a Faculty member and manager, and has played a key role in developing the college’s strategic direction and supporting innovative pedagogical approaches. In addition to her experience in the position of Interim Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, her experience in teaching and in-depth knowledge of the CEGEP network will allow her to continue to innovate and respond to new challenges in her new role.

Elana holds a Master of Education degree from the Université de Sherbrooke and a Master of Business Administration (Major in Marketing) from Concordia University, as well as an Honours, Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in Ontario. In addition, she acts as Treasurer for the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

Elana’s dedication to excellence and her commitment to Vanier will be very valuable in her new role.

Vanier Academic Dean, Annie-Claude Banville, is very happy to welcome Elana to the Academic Steering Committee. “Elana has demonstrated her dedication to student success and to Vanier College.
