Quebec provincial election: students can vote on Vanier campus

March 17, 2014

All academic activities cancelled on April 7th.

Under the Quebec Election Act, students are given the day off to vote. This means all classes will be cancelled on April 7th 2014.

Voting on campus before election day

As a Vanier student, if you are eligible to vote you will be able to cast your ballot at Vanier College campus before the election – even if you live and are registered in another electoral district.

The polling stations will be designated for students and will be located in the Vanier Boardroom (F-216). See below for the schedule of dates and hours.

To vote, you must be registered on the list of electors. Visit http://www.monvote.qc.ca/en or http://www.monvote.qc.ca/fr to verify whether you are on the list.

If you are not on the list, or if the information about you is incorrect, you can register to vote or correct the information, in person only, at the student polling stations. You must bring two pieces of identification: one must include your name and your birth date and a second must indicate your name and address. This could include a passport, driver’s license or Medicare card.
