Update your building inspection skills and make them official with the RAC for Residential Building Inspection Professionals.

This program offers formal recognition in the form of an Attestation of College Studies (ACS) diploma for Residential Building Inspection (RBIT) competencies through the RAC evaluation process. Competencies reflect the essential skills, technical knowledge, and judgment required for professional practice in residential building inspection. The RAC process is designed to be flexible, with the timeline varying depending on the number of competencies assessed from the ACS program. Candidates can continue working full-time while progressing through the evaluation, with the support of RAC Content Specialists who are available during evenings and weekends.

A key step in the RAC admission process is the Validation Interview, where Content Specialists assess the candidate’s experience and expertise. By choosing Vanier College, candidates join a recognized institution dedicated to helping professionals meet the new Règlement sur l’encadrement des inspecteurs en bâtiments d’habitation (REIBH) requirements and obtain the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) certificate of competence—ensuring they are fully qualified and competitive in the evolving field of residential building inspection.
