Academic Council

Academic Council is an essential body in College governance. As defined by the College's Act, Academic Council is chaired by the Academic Dean and is responsible for advising the Board of Directors on all matters concerning programs of studies and the evaluation of learning achievement.

At Vanier, Bylaw 3 defines the mandate, responsibilities and functioning of Council and while the Academic Dean retains the title of Chair by law, the Vice-Chairs plays the functional role of chairing Council meetings.
