Language school withdrawals and refunds

Procedure

For all withdrawals, students must complete the Course Withdrawal and Refund Form and send it to languageschool@vaniercollege.qc.ca. Before doing so, verify you do not wish to defer your start date instead.

After withdrawing from a course, students have a maximum of one calendar year to request and collect their refunds. Following this period, refunds cannot be issued. Students cannot request retroactive refunds for past classes they have not attended. 

The Language School reserves the right to withdraw a student from a course for misconduct. In such an event, no refund will be issued.


In the case of a course cancellation:

The Language School reserves the right to cancel any course without notice if there is an insufficient number of participants. In this case, all fees would be refunded to the student.


Refunds

Before course start date

  • 90% of tuition fee refunded. Testing fee (if applicable) retained

After course start date

  • Withdrawal within first 10 business days
    • 75% of tuition fee refunded. Testing fee (if applicable) retained
  • Withdrawal between first 10 business days and up to 50% of course elapsed
    • 50% of tuition fee refunded. Testing fee (if applicable) retained

Withdrawal after 50% of course has elapsed: no refund available.

Exceptional cases may be accommodated at the discretion of the Language School Coordinator.

If you wish for your refund to be issued to someone else, please fill out the Refund Transfer Form and send it to languageschool@vaniercollege.qc.ca.
