To ensure high quality performance of Vanier College Management Personnel within the context of the College Mission Statement and the College’s Strategic Plan. This Policy aims to support institutional priorities and to facilitate the coordination of institutional, departmental, and individual planning, performance, and development.
This Policy applies to all full-time and part-time Vanier College administrators and management employees.
An individual, administrator, or College employee holding a management status, who works for the College part-time or full-time under a contract of employment, an offer of employment letter issued by the Office of the Director General, a service contract, or any other form of binding hiring contract, whether oral or written, expressed or implied.
The Evaluation of Management Personnel internal policy takes the form of a discussion between the Management Personnel member and his or her immediate supervisor.
The evaluation must be based on the global job functions and the annual objectives, which must align with the College Mission Statement and the department’s yearly work plan and objectives.
The completed Management Personnel evaluation form shall be deposited in the Management Personnel member’s confidential file in the Office of the Director General.
All managers and directors share the responsibility of developing their skills to their fullest potential and of ensuring best management practices that are equitable and that better serve the Vanier community.
This internal Human Resources Policy is under the authority of the Director of Human Resource Services.
This internal Human Resources policy and tool shall become effective in April 2021.
