This 14 month program will prepare students to write, modify, integrate and test computer code for software applications.

Students will gain experience in collaborating on the design and implementation of applications (desktop, web and mobile), implementing information security at the software and environment levels (cybersecurity), developing transactional web applications (E-commerce) and more. The program includes an internship component which provides students with relevant work experience.

Minimum requirements

To be admitted to an ACS program, applicants must possess a Quebec Secondary School Diploma (DES) or equivalent as judged by the College, as well as acquired knowledge and skills deemed sufficient by the College for success in the program. They must also meet one of the following conditions:

  • Have interrupted studies for at least two consecutive terms or one school year, OR
  • Have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies spread over a year or more, OR
  • Be subject to an agreement between the College and an employer or government program, OR
  • Possess a professional studies diploma (DEP)

Applicants must also be:

  • A Canadian citizen, OR
  • Permanent resident, OR
  • Temporary Resident with a valid study permit and Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)

In addition, applicants must qualify for Quebec Residency (living in Quebec for at least one year) or have a CSQ. To be successful in this program, candidates must have a good command of the English language.
