Vanier College is pleased to announce that Christina Cichon has been named Interim Director of Student Services at Vanier College. She began working at the College on October 22nd and will be replacing Monique Magnan who is currently on a leave of absence from Vanier.
“Christina has more than 20 years of experience in the education sector as well as a deep passion and commitment to promoting student success. In addition to being a believer in life-long learning and a team player, throughout her career Christina has always advocated on behalf of students and ensured that their needs are always a priority. For all these reasons I am convinced she will be a valuable asset to the College,” said John McMahon, Director General of Vanier College.
Prior to coming to Vanier, Christina Cichon had been working at the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board where she held numerous positions including Assistant Director of Complementary and Pedagogical Services (interim), Principal of Phoenix Alternative High School and Vice Principal of Rosemere High School. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree, a Certificate in Human Resources Management and Graduate Certificates I and II in Educational Leadership, from McGill University.
“Throughout my career I have developed a thorough understanding of student needs and support services. I am very much looking forward to coming to work at Vanier since it is an institution that promotes many values that I appreciate and champion such as accessibility, inclusiveness, diversity and student success,” said Christina Cichon.
