tom mcgrath

It was with deep regret that the college announced the passing of Thomas McGrath on Sunday, November 26th, 1995. Tom was a devoted teacher in Special Care Counselling starting in 1973 and was a gracious, charming and caring person who is deeply missed by all who knew him. A funeral service was held in the chapel of the Kane and Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Boulevard (corner Isabella), on Wednesday, November 29th.

He was honoured by his colleagues and the College with the creation of the “Tom McGrath Award”, which is presented every year to a deserving SCC student. See link. The photo at left was taken here at Vanier in the 1970s.
