Jocelyne Lasalle

Mrs. Jocelyne Lasalle died Thursday January 21, 2021 at Maisonneuve Rosemont Hospital, victim of cancer. She lived in Ville Mont-Royal and was a native of Joliette.

Jocelyne was predeceased by her parents, Maurice Lasalle and Aline Roy. She is survived by her brother Claude Lasalle (late Françoise Grenier), and her sisters, Nicole Lasalle (Michel Venne), Renée Lasalle (late André Rivard), Lise Lasalle (Michel Mazzalongo), several nephews and nieces, including her goddaughter Marie -Hélène Rivard (Danny Lévesque), as well as other relatives and friends.

Jocelyne loved music from a young age. After high school, she studied piano at École Vincent-d’Indy in Montreal where she obtained her Baccalaureate, then she completed a Masters under Professor Dieter Weber in Vienna, Austria (1968-1975). Upon her return to Canada, she taught piano privately in Joliette and Montreal. She was an excellent teacher and knew how to communicate well with her students. She then taught at Vanier College for 25 years (1992-2017) before taking a well-deserved retirement.

An intimate memorial ceremony will take place at a later date.

As a token of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Maisonneuve Rosemont Hospital Foundation (www.fondationhmr.ca/fr/donner/don-en-memoire-de/)
