English Academic Writing

Complete a Written Evaluation by the Wednesday before the first class.  This written evaluation is completed autonomously by the student at home.

English Oral Communication

All new students must complete a virtual level evaluation¹. This evaluation takes place during the week before the course start date. The assessment involves an informal, 10-minute conversation with a teacher over Zoom, intended to evaluate your oral communication competencies. 

Once the level evaluation is complete, students will receive an email 1-3 days before the start of the course with information about their level placement, instructor and classroom².

¹ Only students who have registered and paid for the course may attend the Level Evaluation.
² A no-show or non-completion of the level evaluation may result in a $30 fee being charged to the student's account.

Level changes

Students who feel they have been placed in the wrong level should do the following:

1. Speak to their teachers to express their concerns
2. If the teacher agrees, email the administration to request a level change

Note: level changes are only permitted up until the start of the third class.
