Course drop (Continuing Education)

This page details how to drop Continuing Education courses only. If you are a day studies student, see this page.

How to drop

To drop a Continuing Education Evening and Credit Course, submit the Course Drop form available on your Omnivox (Omnivox > My Omnivox Services > Withdrawals and drops) by the deadline. To find out the next deadline, see Important dates.

When dropping a course, keep in mind that:

  • During the validation period, all courses must be marked as “ATTENDING” in order to drop a course.
  • Once all courses have been validated as “ATTENDING,” you can still drop a course (regardless of whether you are passing or failing it)
  • The course will be removed from your schedule, but will remain on your LEA.
  • A remark will appear on your transcript as “AE” (Abandon étude).
  • No grade, credits, or R-score will be assigned.
  • Dropping a course will not change your full- or part-time status at Vanier College, however, your status may affect your eligibility for loans and bursaries. To maintain eligibility, you must pass a full-time course load consisting of 180 course hours or more.
