• Duration of internship: between 75 and 120 hours
  • When: during the 5th and 6th semester of the Program
  • Where: in the manufacturing, research, and service industries
  • Introduce students to real employment situation
  • Opportunity to observe the roles, functions and responsibilities of the numerous participants involved in the design, implementation, prototype development and modification, and maintenance of computerized system
  • Apply effective technical communication skills
  • Students will also experience some of the many tasks expected of a Technologist such as  production of working drawings and prototypes, observing safety regulations, assisting in system verification, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Unpaid but internships often lead to job offers
  • Other: A written report and a Class Presentation is required at the conclusion of the internship
