Vanier’s Matthew Barr – a pilot, a nurse and a volunteer – and CBC television’s Montrealer of the Week November 25, 2011

At twenty-two Matthew Barr, now in his second year of Nursing at Vanier College, has done a lot in a few short years: two trips to volunteer in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake; bush piloting in Alaska; disaster relief across the United States.  Recently he won a 2011 Loran Scholarship and a 2011 Terry Fox Humanitarian Award and he plans to put all his training and experience to the benefit of others when he graduates.  See his CBC News interview with Debra Arbec.
