Please visit us during our drop-in hours (Room E-300 – accessible through the Library entrance):
Fall 2018 Semester Drop-In Hours
- MONDAYS 10AM – 6PM (4PM to 6PM tutoring takes place in D-301 – STEM)
- TUESDAYS 10AM – 4PM
- WEDNESDAYS 10AM – 4PM
- THURSDAYS 10AM – 4PM
- FRIDAYS 10AM – 1PM
Receive FREE assistance with:
- Reading comprehension
- Writing skills
- Study techniques
- Time management
- Exam preparation
- APA & MLA referencing
- Memory retention
- Oral presentations
- Content help for Math and Science courses
- Content help for select technology program courses
During high volume periods, students can expect to see a peer tutor for a maximum of 15 minutes only.
Students should bring the following:
- instructions for the assignment
- a draft of their paper
- a specific question or a problem they would like to address with their peer tutor
Please note that the TASC drop-in tutoring is not a correction service; consequently, the peer tutors will not proofread or edit papers. Moreover, we do not provide answers to assignments.
Private (1-on-1) Peer Tutoring
Trained English peer tutors are available for students whose English is not their first language. A student can be matched with an English peer tutor to receive help with their language and study skills. A tutee is allowed a maximum of 10 hours of English paired tutoring for the semester.
We also have peer tutors that are available to students who require content help with mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology courses as well as certain technology program courses. A tutee is allowed a maximum of 10 hours of Math/Science paired tutoring for the semester.
