Y Kanawana, the oldest residential camp in Québec. Spirit, leadership and fun since 1894.

Staff lives on site for the duration of the summer, witch runs from mid June to end of August. Salaries include food, lodging and transportation to and fromMontrealon days off.

Mini-bus drivers will drive campers and employees going on canoe trips in 15 passenger vehicles.

Driving participants to their different activities.

Produce inspection and driving reports for each trip.

Drive the vehicle to and from regularly scheduled maintenance.

Insure the maintenance and proper functioning of all the camps emergency vehicles.

Class 4B driver’s license or higher (1,2,3 or 4A).

Good clean driving record.

Experience driving heavy vehicles with passengers.

Possess a valid CPR and First aid certificate (course offered in May).

Subject to a Police check, the cost of which is covered by Y Kanawana

Be at least 21 years of age.

Able to speak English and some French (with the exception of international staff).

Understands and integrates the value of philanthropy in both specific position and association, and participates in the Annual Campaign and/or other fundraising events

Service oriented: seek to increase the enjoyment and quality of the experience for all people at the YMCA

Self-managing: able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
