Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
The Specialty Drug Nurse Agent is assigned a caseload of patients, placing calls, at specific intervals, which are provided within the guidelines of the program. He/she is responsible to: ensure enrollments are complete and accurate, ensure persistency calls are made as required by the specific program, and communicate accurately to all departments when a client has discontinued participation in a program.The Specialty Drug Nurse Agent is the coordinator of care and case manager for the clients under his/her care. The agent is required to ensure the client is satisfied at the end of every call which may require follow up with other departments of the Specialty Drug Program. The agent answers product questions, reimbursement inquires, fulfillment orders/questions, product deliveries/orders, training inquiries, and any other. Any questions outside of their knowledge scope will be transferred to the appropriate department.All calls to the Specialty Drug Nurse will be documented accurately and in a timely manner in the client's file.Direct handling of various reports and forms (Adverse events and product complaints) either by fax, e-mail, or by mail, to a set schedule, as per program requirements, or as directed by QA Supervisor, or Supervisor of Specialty Drug Team. Specialty Drug Nurse Agent assists with objectives of the Program which include: a) Maximizing patient enrollment b) Assisting in maximizing patients starting on therapy c) Maximizing patients persistence on therapy d) Enhancing and supporting patients' outcome on therapy
Qualifications:
- Current professional nursing license in the province of workBilingual (French and English) is a must
- 3-5 years of applicable nursing experience in a call centre or clinical environment
- Strong computer skills, excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Available to work rotating shifts - varying times between 07:30 thru to 23:00 and on-call (24/7) services for a week at a time approximately once per monthAvailable to complete training sessions (consecutive day shift up to several weeks)
- Flexible and adaptable to changes of responsibility and shift requirements reflective of business needs
