Vanier College Sports Complex, which opened on November 17, 1978, is the hub of physical education, recreational and athletic needs for the college’s students, faculty and staff.
The Sports Complex accommodates a wide range of individual and group recreational sports and fitness activities, as well as all physical education courses for over 6,000 students. It also offers club sports and an intramural program enjoyed by approximately 800 students.
The facility serves as home to 10 of the College’s 12 intercollegiate athletic programs.
- 2nd floor level: This includes a dance studio, fitness room, varsity fitness room, athletic therapy clinic, 2 multipurpose rooms, all physical education teacher offices, staff locker rooms and 4 visiting team locker rooms.
- Lobby (1st floor) level: The main entrance to the facility, the Lobby level has a 25 meter pool, 2 racquetball courts, general locker rooms for men and women, the equipment distribution desk, athletics offices, administrative offices, coaches offices, triple gymnasium and palestre (auxiliary gymnasium with rock climbing wall).
- Basement: The lower level has the outdoor education distribution area, pool mechanical room, various storage rooms and football equipment distribution and storage area.
