The Theme of the festival this year is :
‘Be Active’

“Be Active”- this year’s Festival will analyze the different ways in which people contribute to the betterment of their communities and themselves.  A number of our guests have worked as political activists, attempting to alter the way in which our society functions.  Others have focused their activism on more immediate concerns of health, food, empathy and love.  The hope of the week’s symposium is to demonstrate to our student body and wider college community the important role individuals and groups can play in shaping their world around them.

A conference of this size and scope would not have been possible without the work of a number of people who have graciously helped me during the past 4 months. They include David Spadotto, Mike Demole, Zsofia Orszagh, Bev Chandler, Marguerite Corriveau, Paula Price, Rick Yuen, Bill Perkins, Justin Deguire, Jacky Vallée, Avi Goldberg, Myriam Mansour, Nathan Loewen, Gordon Aronoff,  Natalie Carlino, Margo Plant, Odette Côté, Ivanka Hillel, Nora Soukiassian,  and of course all the speakers who made room in their busy schedules to come to Vanier and offer their expertise, wisdom and life experiences.  Many thanks!!!!
