Students are accepted into this program in the Autumn semester only. To be accepted, the student must meet all music and science entrance requirements. In addition to passing an instrumental or vocal audition, the student must also pass the Theory and Ear Training entrance tests, which evaluate Music Rudiments. A student who fails the Theory and Ear Training tests, but who has passed the practical audition and may be admissible, would be required to take a preparatory course in the summer through Vanier Continuing Education.
