The Special Care Counselling Program trains people to work with individuals across the lifespan who have special needs in adapting to life's demands. Special Care Counsellors use personalized, systematic helping and programming skills to enhance people's lives. "SCC" can be a doorway to a satisfying career in the helping profession.

    Established in 2006 by the Federation of Quebec Alzheimer Societies, the Walk for Memories is held simultaneously in several cities throughout the province.


    In Montreal, more than 33,000 families are touched by Alzheimer’s or related diseases. The Alzheimer Society of Montreal plays an important role in helping those families and those living with Alzheimer’s Disease.


    You can also help make a difference for people with Alzheimer’s and their families.
    Participate in the Walk for Memories along with staff and students of Vanier's Special Care counselling Program.
