The Special Care Counselling Program trains people to work with individuals across the lifespan who have special needs in adapting to life's demands. Special Care Counsellors use personalized, systematic helping and programming skills to enhance people's lives. "SCC" can be a doorway to a satisfying career in the helping profession.

For the third year in a row, SCC students have participated in the Montreal Walks for Mental Health event to raise public awareness about mental health and eliminate stigma associated with mental illness. With the theme " Walk towards a world without stigma", the event took place with honourary co-chairs Guy Latraverse, Michel Mpambra and Margaret Trudeau.
