Can I attend university after studies in this Program?
Yes, it is possible to continue on to university studies with this DCS but not in this program since university degrees in respiratory and anaesthesia technology do not exist in Québec. However, university credits are available via courses supported by the professional order. Graduates wishing to apply to university should consult with an Academic Advisor to know the prerequisites of the program they wish to apply to.
University credits towards a certificate in related topics are offered via the Université du Quebec en Abitibi-Temiscaminque via distance courses.
Following is a list of the schools of Respiratory Therapy in Canada that offer either a bachelor degree or provide credits toward a bachelor degree in Respiratory Therapy. Some of these programs may be offered as a distant program .To find out whether a program is offered to students who have a diploma from another school (like you) – go to each institutions website.
In addition an Anesthesia Assistants course is offered to post diploma/bachelor program graduates. This course is not offered in Quebec.
