Carole graduated from Rosemont College in 1978. After working part-time in several Montreal French hospitals, looking for work brought her to the Jewish-General-Hospital is 1980. In 1982, she was hired by Vanier College.
Having dreamed of becoming a teacher since the age of 5, she obtained a Certificate in Education from UQAM in 1985. Carole tried several management positions in 1987-88, first as Vanier clinical coordinator, than as a manager at St-Mary’s Respiratory department. This is when she realised that teaching was her career of choice.
After several years of clinical teaching in adult respiratory care at the Jewish and Montreal-General Hospitals, Carole took a clinical instructor position at the Montreal-Children’s-Hospital in 1985 where she has spent 25 years specializing in the field of neonatal & pediatric respiratory care.
She was also a member of the ECMO team from 1992 to 1995. More recently, she published articles in the OPIQ Journal L’Inhalo on Issues of Prematurity, Infant Nasal Ventilation and Heated high flow therapy. The last decade has been spent perfecting her didactic teaching abilities in first, fourth, fifth and sixth semesters, with the same passion as if it was her first day of class.
