Special Care Counselling RAC

RAC Evaluation Process

Step 1

Reception
Candidates attend an Information Session and complete and submit a Letter of Intent.

Step 2

File Preparation
Candidates complete a Self-Evaluation Form (this takes approximately three hours). At this time the File Opening dates are given when candidates will submit all documents and pay the file-opening fees.

Step 3

File Analysis
College personnel analyse each candidate’s documents, determine admissibility to the College and to the RAC evaluation process, and follow-up.

Step 4

Validation Interview
College personnel interview the candidates one-on-one, determine which competencies will be evaluated, and follow up.

Step 5

Evaluation of Acquired Competencies
College content-experts evaluate the candidate’s knowledge one-on-one through observation, demonstration or assignments, and follow up.

Step 6

Certification and Results
When you succeed in demonstrating all competencies, the College will award you a Diploma of College Studies (DCS/DEC) in SCC. If there are competencies you must still acquire in full or in part, you will be offered different options suited to adults.
