Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and experience.
The Psychology Department offers courses to Social Science & Commerce students as well as students in other programs. Social Science & Commerce students take Introductory Psychology as a compulsory course. Students in other programs may take it as a complementary course. Students may also choose to take courses such as Cultural Psychology, Social Psychology, Sports Psychology, Psychology of Relationships, Psychological Disorders, Sexuality and Relationships, or any of the many courses we offer each year. All Psychology courses are offered as complementary courses to students in other programs. Not all courses are offered every year. Students who wish to prepare themselves to study psychology at university are advised to take Introductory Psychology and Human Biology as well as verify with Academic Advising to determine if the university of their choice requires Statistics.
