pc-fall-2016-coverThe 2016 fall issue of Pédagogie collégiale is now available. If you are an AQPC member, you should have already received your copy.

If you are not a member, copies are available in each of the three Faculty Deans’ offices and in PSI’s common area (B228). This issue contains some excellent articles. “Le développement du jugement en situation authentique. L’apprentissage expérientiel dans un contexte de simulation pour une pratique professionnelle sécuritaire” includes interesting reflections on integrating authentic learning situations into our teaching, and describes how our own Vanier Nursing teachers, as well as teachers from other CEGEPs are employing simulation mannequins to provide students with the chance to apply their skills autonomously and to encourage team-work and self-reflection. Priscilla Boyer examines the importance of literacy across the disciplines in her article “Enseigner à écrire: une responsabilité partagée entre les professeurs de toutes les disciplines.” Boyer examines the importance of teaching discipline-specific literacy skills and the value of writing as not only a vehicle for, but also an architect of, thought. Other articles include “La supervision de stagiaires : comment mieux soutenir les professeurs-superviseurs?” and “Inverser sa classe de manière profitable.” The issue concludes with a summary of a workshop held during the 2016 AQPC conference in which participants to imagine and brainstorm what could be done differently in our CEGEPs in the future. Check out some of their creative and intriguing ideas and dreams for CEGEPs in “Un laboratoire d’idées.”
