The Vanier College Pedagogical Development Office (PDO) strives to support all members of the Vanier Community in their learning and pedagogical development. The main focus of the PDO is on teaching, learning, and pedagogy.
What is the Pedagogical Development Office?
Established in January 2011, the PDO provides support through workshops, new teacher orientation and mentoring, teaching tips, individual coaching, brown bag lunch discussions, Vanier Community Connection (VCC) Pedagogical Day activities, group webinar forums, and up-to-date online resources for all members of the Vanier Community, as well as encouraging and facilitating enrollment in the PERFORMA Master Teacher Program.
Under the direction of the Academic Dean’s Office, the PDO also works in conjunction with The Learning Centre (TLC), the Vanier Institutional Development and Research (IDR) Office, the Vanier International Education Office, and other departments, on short-term and long-term student success projects.
The Pedagogical Development Office is located in F-217. Please feel free to come and visit us any time.
