Getting Started with Blended Learning
Wednesday, May 30 from 1:00-3:00pm
Animators: Kevin Lenton and Jen Mitchell
The goal of this workshop is to introduce practical tools to teachers who want to have an online or “blended” component in their courses. The emphasis will be on tools which are already being used at Vanier and on applying blended learning to inverted or flipped classroom models. There is a learning curve in making blended learning work in your classes; however the initial pedagogical investment is well worth the payoff. Come, learn, and share your experiences.
Ongoing Program Development
Thursday, May 31 from 1:00-3:00pm
Animator: Caroline Hanrahan
Teachers teach within Cegep Programs. For these programs to remain up-to-date, ongoing Program Development is a key component. Come ready to share and learn about best practices of Program Development – things that work and things that are best to avoid.
