- VCPA is the only Parents' Association at an English CEGEP
- VCPA meets monthly to address concerns and provide support for parents
- VCPA talks with parents on how to stay connected with their child and keep them motivated
- VCPA provides information on college resources through a liaison
- VCPA represents parents' interests on the Vanier Board of Directors through a parent representative
- VCPA works together with the college to ensure the safety and improve the quality of life for the students
- VCPA organizes workshops, together with the college, on topics of interest to the parents
- VCPA discusses challenges that students face and shares possible solutions
- address parents' concerns in maintaining Vanier's high academic standards
- represent the interests of parents to the College
- keep parents informed about the services and options available for students
- counsel and assist parents about the approaches in motivating their child and keeping the lines of communication open to them
- help ensure the safety and improving the quality of life for the students of Vanier College
