Computers & Printing

Username: your student ID number (e.x.: 1234567) +Password: your Omnivox login password
You can print from any of the IT Centre or Library computers, to either the B&W printers (Student BW or Employee BW) or colour printers (Student Colour or Employee Colour). When you send the print job, you can pick it up from any of the printer-copiers in the college (as listed below). You must have available credit on your account in order to print, and while you are given a balance on registration, you may refill it at any time from your Omnivox account. It is not possible to print using cash at any location. Print cards may also be purchased from the Vanier Bookstore. When printing, the printer Properties will default to double-sided printing, in an effort to conserve resources and reduce waste. If necessary, you may change this before sending the print job to the printers. Prints or copies in black and white cost $0.07/page, and in colour cost $0.50/page. For more info on I.T. The typical hours are listed below, however there are exceptions for holidays and other changes. Please check the door of the relevant location for the most up-to-date hours.

Computers are available for student use in the Library (F-300) and the IT Centres (D-301 and N-215). Usage is limited to 60 minutes, though it is possible in circumstances to request an extension. No food, drinks, games, phone use, or loud conversation are allowed in any of the computer areas. These computers have Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader installed, and documents may not be saved on the computer. Your department may have specific additional computer labs available with relevant software installed.

To cancel a locker go to Student Services in Room C-203. The last day to cancel your locker request is: Autumn 2018 semester: September 19, 2018 Winter 2019 semester: February 14, 2019 NOTE: Fees are non-refundable if the locker is cancelled after the delete deadline of the semester you initially acquired the locker.
You MUST use a combination lock. Key locks are not allowed. Combination locks are available in Student Services (C-203) for $1.00 (limited supply).
Having a locker on campus is useful but not mandatory. If you want to get one, click here for more information.
The Locker Fee is $10.00 per person, per school year (covering both Autumn and Winter semesters). Login to Omnivox and follow the prompts to select and pay for your locker. Please note that you must first COMPLETE YOUR COURSE REGISTRATION AND OBTAIN YOUR CONFIRMED COURSE SCHEDULE by clicking on My Schedule.

There are lockers available in the A*, K**, and N-Buildings. A number of programs are based in either the Main Building (A, B, C, D, E, F, K-Buildings) or N-Building. If you are unsure of where your locker should be located click here for more information


Yes, the lost and found is located at the Security Office (Building F, second floor), near the main entrance at 821 Ste-Croix avenue.

Opus card

If your photo ID transit card expires on October 31, 2018 you must obtain a new one. The STM will be at Vanier College in the Auditorium (A-103) on September 5, 2018 and September 6, 2018 from 8:30am to 6:30pm. Please bring the following: a photo ID card showing your date of birth, your letter of Attestation showing proof of full-time student status (available on Omnivox under OPUS card form) and $14.00 in cash.
If you miss the photo session at Vanier, you have to go to the STM photo studio at 1717 Berri Street (Berri-UQAM Metro station) More info about Opus


Yes, students may park in the P7 parking lot. A parking meter can be found in the P7 parking area. Parking fees are as follows: 3$ / Hour Maximum of 10$ / Day Parking pay stubs must be display on the cars dashboard.  Payment must be made by credit card or coins.

Student ID Card

When on campus, you are required to have your Vanier ID card, and Security may request to see it at any time. Your card is also equipped with a RFID chip allowing for FastTrack login to printers/photocopiers on campus. More info:

Visit the Vanier College bookstore website: Refer to your semester schedule (available through your Omnivox account) and select the courses that you will be taking. The course and section number can be found on your schedule.
Once you have searched for your textbooks, you can print out the list and visit the Bookstore in person to make the purchase. Alternatively, you can place the order for all your textbooks and pay them online. Your order can then be picked up at the Bookstore. Note that you will have to present your Vanier ID card in order to pick up your order. 
Used textbooks are available for certain courses and can be purchased through the Bookstore in person.
